Gunther Hellmann is Professor of Political Science at Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany and Principal Investigator in the Frankfurt Center of Excellence “Formation of Normative Orders”. He joined the leadership of WISC in 2011 as “Associate Executive Secretary”, assumed the position of “Executive Secretary” in 2014 and has been elected “President” when WISC formally registered as an association in 2017. His research interests are in theory (social theory and theories of international relations and foreign policy), German foreign policy and European and transatlantic security relations. He is a Member of the Board of the Aspen Institute Germany and one of the editors of “Zeitschrift für Internationale Beziehungen” (ZIB), a German IR-journal.
Bojko Bučar was Dean at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences, Slovenia. A long-time Head of the Chair of International Relations at the University, he was one of key personalities to develop the discipline of international relations in Slovenia. Having been responsible for post-graduate international and european studies, he continues this tradition. His research is focused on issues of International Relations in general and on questions of International Law. Expert on international and sub-national international regionalism. Also interested in Foreign Policy and the Balkans as an area study. At his initiative CEEISA was founded and the Journal of International Relations and Development – JIRD he had started before, became its official journal.
