International Workshops for Early Career Researchers, Fall 2017 and 2018

“World Order and Peace. International Politics in the 21st Century in a Global Perspective”

Thanks to a generous grant from the Swiss Foundation “Avec et pour Autres” WISC will be in a position to sponsor two fully-funded academic workshops on the theme “World Order and Peace. International Politics in the 21st Century in a Global Perspective”. More than 100 scholars have responded to the Call for Applications. The workshops will take place in the Global South later in 2017 and in 2018.

WISC EXPLORATORY RESEARCH WORKSHOPS 5th Global International Studies Conference 1-3 April 2017, National Taiwan University, Taipei (Taiwan)

The first WISC Exploratory Research Workshops will take place in the context of the 5th Global International Studies Conference from 1-3 April 2017 at National Taiwan University (NTU), Taipei (Taiwan). The original "Call for Proposals" has been archived here. Normally a maximum of fifteen scholars will participate in these one-day workshops which take place on the day before the 5th Global International Studies Conference starts (ie. 31 March 2017).

WISC Exploratory Research Workshops will be made up of scholars from all parts of the world, especially from the Global South. They are intended to enable scholars to meet in order to explore themes of joint interest in the field of international studies.

WISC-IRIIS Exploratory Workshops 9 – 14 January 2016, New Delhi, India

WISC's second set of Exploratory Workshops under the theme "Alternative Cosmologies and Knowledge Systems in International Relations: Voices from the Global South" took place in Delhi between 9-14 January 2016. The "Call for Papers" elicited interest well beyond India. Senior and junior scholars from Asia, Africa and Latin America participated.
